<div itemprop="description"><br>Adelia Saccomandi Age 87, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13th, 2016 at Abbey Lane QE II, surrounded by her loving family. <br>Born in San Giacomo, Di Atri, in the province of Teramo, Italy.<br>She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1957 arriving at Pier 21. <br>She is survived by her daughter Natalina (Alan) Supple, her cherished grandchildren Nadia (Mark) Gardin, Bradley (Jaunita) Supple, Jeffrey (Tammy) Supple and treasured great-grandchildren Ryan, Cassidy, Julia, Nia and Sara. She is also survived by sister-in-law Iolanda (Reggi) and nieces and nephews in Italy. <br>In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Antonio, son Silvano and brothers Antonio Reggi and Giovanni Reggi and her sister Iolanda Ferretti. <br>Adelia was a devoted and loving wife and mother and “Nona”. A friend to all, she will be missed for her incredible cooking skills which she shared with many of her friends over the years. She had a welcoming home and no one would ever depart without having eaten first or given a care package to take with you. Her favorite question to all was “what are you cooking for dinner today?” Her spirit was kind and generous. She always enjoyed having young children in her home. She will be missed by all who knew her. <br>Adelia’s family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at the Abbey Lane 9A for their sincere care and compassion. Special thanks to Shannon. <br>Visitation on Thursday, June 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd. Halifax. <br>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, 6351 North St., Halifax, on Friday, June 17th, at 11:00 am, Father James Wegner Celebrant. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.<br> In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Adelia may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.</div>
