<div itemprop="description">Archibald, Alice Theresa, 89, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2014 at Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax October 17, 1925, Alice was the daughter of Francis and Alice White. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Alice was a past member of Maritime Telephone &amp; Telegraph Pioneers and a lifelong member of the Westmount Chapter of the I.O.D.E.. Prior to her marriage, Alice worked at M.T.&amp;T and later at Eatons before becoming a Manager for Birks and G.B. Murphy Jewelers. Alice greatly enjoyed many cruises with her husband, Don, and their years of golf and crib. She also was an avid bridge player with the same group for several decades. She is survived by her sons Don (Doreen), Halifax; Graham (Kathy), Bridgewater; daughter-in-law Eileen, Sackville; her sister Mary Lefebvre, Dundas, ON; her grandchildren Kyle, Sackville; Chris, Halifax; Katie (Billie), Yellowknife; Aaron (Vicki), Sudbury, ON; Michael (Kristina), Ottawa, ON; Kelly (Justin), Ottawa, ON; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Donald R., her son Brian, and her brothers Clyde, Cyril and Ken. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Monday November 17th at the Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayers Road and family internment service at Oakridge Memory Gardens in Middle Sackville, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th. <br />Family flowers only but in lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of Melville Lodge for their years of loving care of our mother and especially for their loving compassion and kindness during her last days.
