<div itemprop="description">MORRIS, Catherine (Katie Beazley).&nbsp; It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Catherine Morris of Castlehill Drive, Halifax on December 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.&nbsp; She was the daughter of the late Harold and Susan Beazley.&nbsp;&nbsp; Catherine was the beloved wife of Kenneth for 59 years.&nbsp; She had two sons in whom she had much pride, Kenneth at home and Richard (Ann), Tantallon.&nbsp; Catherine&rsquo;s family was first and foremost in her life.&nbsp; She was previously employed with Sears for twenty five years.&nbsp; She was a wonderful homemaker, and possessed exquisite baking and sewing skills.&nbsp; She especially enjoyed large gatherings of family and friends.&nbsp; Her deep love and affection for children was always evident and she was a second mother to her numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Besides her husband and two sons, she has left to mourn her siblings, Gerald (Anne) Beazley, River John; Marie Barnhill (Gordon), White&rsquo;s Lake; Theresa (Ronald) Conrad, Bedford; Noreen (Edward) Murphy, Saint John, NB; Susan (Ray) Robson, Cole Harbour; brothers-in-law Robert (Polly) Morris, Billy (Marguerite) Morris, and Ronald Morris, sister-in-law Lillian Beazley, nieces, nephews and cousins.&nbsp; Catherine had a &ldquo;chosen&rdquo; sister Irene (Matt) Kenny, devoted friends Paula Ryan and Pat and Sharon Sutherland.&nbsp; Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, harry, Edward and Leo, two sisters Madeline and Gertrude.&nbsp; It was Catherine&rsquo;s request that heart felt appreciation be made to her family physician, Dr. David Tilley for his attentive care and support, Nancy Leslie, Dr. Hesham Lakosha, her oncologist Dr. Mary Davis, and the caring staff of Princess Margaret Hospital who treated her when she was first diagnosed with ocular melanoma.&nbsp;&nbsp;Catherine portrayed many strong virtues and morals and today her family finds comfort in knowing she is flying with the angels.&nbsp; Funeral arrangements are in the care of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayer&rsquo;s Rd., Halifax&nbsp;where a visitation will be held 2-4, 6-9 pm on Friday.&nbsp; There will be a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Theresa&rsquo;s Church, North Street, Halifax&nbsp;on Saturday December 10, 2011 at 1 pm.&nbsp; Reception to follow in St. Theresa's Church Hall.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the QEII Hospital.&nbsp;</div>
