<div itemprop="description"><br><br><br>David Elliot Pace, born April 15, 1946, passed away peacefully September 20, 2016, surrounded by family. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Marjorie Anderson and John James Pace. Dad experienced life to the fullest, having journeyed down many roads, but always called Halifax his home. He was a retired Bus Operator with Halifax Transit. Dad held many positions during his life, Gibson Guitar and Purity Dairy, in Tennessee where he laid his hat for over 15 years. He was a pro boxer in his younger years, having 19 pro fights, then traveling throughout the USA, once even being the sparring partner of George Chuvalo in Los Vegas. He served in the Canadian Forces in the 1960's. His family was his pride and joy. He is survived by sons, David Jr. (Erin), Gerald (Joe)(Kelly),daughter Stephanie, brother Bill, Gerald (Ann Marie), sister Mary, Grandsons, Kyle and Aidan, granddaughters, Rachelle, Kaylee, Emily, Fallon, Maarika, Skylar and Laylah, his ex-wife but dear friend, Kathryn Pace, as well as his extended family, the Supples, who were always in his heart. He had a fatherly love for all his nieces and nephews. He was a larger than life man. In his last years his pride and joy was lived through his grandchildren. He was a hero to us all. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Douglas, James, Ronald and sister Edna.<br>Visitation will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax, on Sunday, September, 25th, from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 pm.<br><br></div>
