<div itemprop="description">DUNPHY (Cantwell), Dorothy “Dot”, age 92, of Halifax, passed away on January 13, 2017 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary.<br>Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Alice (Young) and William Cantwell.<br>Dot loved to go to bingo. She loved when her family and loved ones came to visit. She adored her cat Stella.<br>She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Orman, Halifax, Wilma (Bryan) Nelson, Middleton; brother Fred Cantwell, Sydney Mines; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. <br>Dot was predeceased by her husband Patrick Dunphy; daughter Dorothy Dunphy; brothers, William, Louis; and sisters, Rebecca, Janet and Willena.<br>Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will take place at 11am on Thursday January 19, in St. John Vianney Church, 4 Beaver Bank Road, Lower Sackville.<br>Interment in Oakridge Memorial Gardens.<br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Nova Scotia or Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.<br>Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the QEII Emergency Department and in Unit 8.4, Halifax Infirmary, especially Leslie RN.<br>Online condolences may be made by visiting the Halifax Chapel at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com<br><br><br><br></div>
