<div itemprop="description">Jones, Frederick Charles &ndash; It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of our dad and grandpa. Dad passed away on October 24, 2014 at the age of 90 at Camp Hill Veterans Center. Dad was born in Nova Scotia and lived there until his passing last week. He leaves behind, Nadine, Karen, Brenda, David, Richard; their spouses, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Calvin, Johnny, his sister, Shirley as well as nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Lloyd; sisters, Ruby, Kay, Eleanor and Esther. Dad bravely served in the Army in World War II at the age of 17 until the war&rsquo;s end in 1945. He lived his entire life in Nova Scotia employed as a plumber and carpenter. He loved fishing, nature and gardening. He fished, hiked and boated on many lakes in Nova Scotia, his favorite being Five Bridges Lake. He shared many stories with us about his adventures. Funeral service will take place 10 am, Monday November 3, 2014 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. Burial will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery with a reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
