Levy, Frederick Charles – 88, was taken from us suddenly on Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was the eldest son of the late Charles and Audrey (Turner) Levy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Faulkner), three children: Don, of Middle Musquodoboit, Barb (Stephen) Power of Halifax, and Heather of Halifax; grandchildren, Shauna (Ryan Stevens) and Matthew Power; Great grandson, Finn; sister, Helen of Halifax. He is predeceased by his brother Don of California.
Fred was a dedicated and proud employee of Nova Scotia Light & Power (later NSPC). Whenever there was a storm or whether he was scheduled to work or not, he was always there to lend a hand. He retired in 1986 after 35 years of service.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed working with his son at the family woodlot and Christmas Tree farm. He was also known among his many friends as Mr. Fit-it. He had the incredible ability to build or repair most anything involving lumber or an engine.
Fred was also a people person, a great story-teller and loved visiting his friends and sharing his stories. The family would especially like to thank Fred’s friend Angus for the many hours he spent driving him all over the country-side to visit with friends and share his stories.
