It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Burton Hart aged 81 on March 21, 2017 at the QEII surrounded by his loving family. Harold could always be found relishing the outdoors whether it was gardening, farming, wood working, hunting or fishing. He accomplished anything he set his mind to. He was a hard worker whose career spanned from Stevedore, Fisherman, Farmer, Land Developer and gratified owner of Hart’s Store. He was a proud father who instilled his incredible work ethic in each one of his children. Married for 63 years, the light of his life was his wife Dorothy, who loves and misses him dearly. Once retired, they spent their time travelling and touring, enjoying all that there was to see. <br>He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Beaver) Hart; Daughters, Brenda (Gord) Osmond, Kathy (Charlie) Johnson, June (Rob) Schwartz, Connie Hart, Jackie (Wade) Schnare; Sons, Sonny (Maria Dela Cruz), John (Lisa Boudreau), Glen (Char Drisdelle); His 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. <br>He was predeceased by his parents, Hazel Stella (Trueman) and Irving Hart; Sister and Brother-In-Law, Beulah and Joe Peters; Son-In-Laws, Arthur Johnson and Andy Schmiegel. <br>The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. <br>No visitation by family request. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 27 at 2:00PM at St. James United Church, 3811 Old Sambro Road, Sambro. Family interment at the St. James Cemetery in Sambro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayers Rd. Halifax.</div>
