It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Jason on July 25, 2012 in the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Halifax, Jason was a beloved son of John Lockerby and Darlene Pearson. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ernie and Daisy Lockerby. He is survived by maternal grandparents, Daisy MacQuilkin and Raymond Crawley; stepmother, Linda Lockerby; stepfather, Jeff Pearson; sisters Jaimie and Karlie; brother, Scott; nephew, Tyler as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason was a proud Canadian boy who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved music, especially Q104, wrestling, cheering on his Mooseheads at the games and hanging out with his buddies Josh and Nick.Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax, from where a memorial service will be held 2 pm Monday. Burial will follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville with a reception being held back at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all his colleagues at the Novalea Dollar Store as well as his friends at Q104 special events, all who made him feel welcome and part of their families.
