<div itemprop="description">Lopez Caneda Lehte (Uuetoa) aged 81, passed away peacefully on January 25th, 2016 in the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Tallinn, Estonia in 1934, she was the daughter of Oskar Uuetoa and Ida Maria (Pendis) Uuetoa. After immigrating to Canada with her family in 1951, she worked at the Morris Chocolate Factory in Halifax for one year. For the rest of her working life she worked she worked for 2 banks in Halifax and one in Winnipeg. She married Segundo Lopez Caneda, who immigrated from Spain, in 1962. She lived with her husband and son Oscar in Winnipeg for 25 years, before returning to Halifax with her family in 1991. She was predeceased by her loving husband Segundo in 2004. She is survived by her son Oscar Lopez Caneda and her brother Harald Uuetoa, both of Herring Cove. Also, Rein Liiva and family in Halifax and Jaan Liiva and family in the U.S.A., and also many relatives in Estonia and Sweden. Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 6554 Bayer's Rd., Halifax, Friday, February 5th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Memorial service to be held at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection 2096 Windsor Street (corner of Windsor and Allen St.) on Saturday, February 6th, at 2:00 pm, Pastor Rev. Dr. Kimber McNabb officiating. Family flowers only.<br />Graveside service at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens on Monday, February 8th, at 1:00 pm, Pastor Jim Anderson officiating. Donations in Lehte's memory may be made to The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, or a charity of your choice.
