<div itemprop="description">Black, Lillian Florence &ldquo;Babs&rdquo;, nee Coy, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2015 in Halifax, NS in her 95th year. Born Lillian Florence Coy on December 25th, 1920 in St. Catharines, ON, Babs lived in Toronto, Montreal and Wolfville before moving to Halifax. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Louise Waters (Graham) of Halifax; son, Robert Andrew Black (Marilyn Galliott) of Moncton; grandchildren, Laura Waters (Adrian Newbould) of Toronto, Andrew Black (Shannon Kennedy) of Vancouver, and Ian Black of St. Catharines; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Sloane Newbould of Toronto; sister-in-law Mary Coy of Niagara-On-the-Lake; cousin Jeannette Campbell of Toronto; and her nephew and many nieces and their families. She was predeceased by husband B. Harrison Black and her brother Edward Platt Coy (Bill). Babs loved a good card game, a game of Scrabble, and howled at a slightly racy limerick. She will be missed by all and remembered for her generosity, quick wit and love of travel.<br /><br />A special thanks to the caring staff at Parkland at the Gardens in Halifax. <br /> <br />A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
