Born February 17, 1923 in Halifax, she was a daughter if the late Everett and Mary (Morrison) Myers.
In Marge’s early years she was a stenographer and enjoyed dancing at #1 Depot and until recent years she would tap her feet to Lawrence Welk Show. Growing up during the depression, she knew the value of a dollar. She appreciated precious jewels. There was always a twinkle in her eyes when finding the “perfect carat”. Affectionately know as the “Queen of Rowe”.
Marge had many favourites: diamonds, colour green, lemon desserts, teddy bears, Betty Boop, Marilyn Munroe, lady bugs, daisies, bowling, rocking chair, vacations to Florida and countless family visits to Prince Edward Island.
Marge is survived by loving husband of 66 years, Donald William; her sons, Donald (Janice) and Kevin both of Halifax; brother-in-law, Reginald White; several nieces and nephews; caring friends, Toni Croft, Margaret Hatchette, and Daphne Brassett. She was pre-deceased by her parents, sisters Elmira Somers (Ivan) and Lillian White.
Special thank you for the dedicated care from staff at Northwood Homecare and VON.
Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayer’s Road, Halifax. At Marge’s request there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory to charity of choice.
