<div itemprop="description"> <p> Santilli, Maria - It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Maria Santilli, on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, after 90 wonderful years. She was born in Pratola Peligna, L&rsquo;Aquila, Italy, on April 24th, 1922. Maria immigrated to Canada in 1953 to join her loving husband, Giuseppe Santilli, who passed away in 2003. Giuseppe and Maria were happily married for 62 years. Maria was a loving and devoted mother to her family, and cherished all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.&nbsp; Maria is survived by her children Egizia Brown, Felicia (Angelo Iacchelli), Giovanna (Mike Sinclair), Anna (Bill Camp), Vincent (Christine), Elena (Clarence Talbot). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Jerome (Pam) and Danny (Lynn) Bailey; Rossella (Sandro Trulli), Stephania, Dario and Selenia Iacchelli; Alexa (Chad Kuhn), Elizabeth (Mike Sawicki) and Jacqueline Camp; Adrienne (Chris Oldham) and Adam Pottie; Michael, Robert, Anneke and Rieka Santilli; Geoffrey, Richard and Marisa Talbot; great grandchildren Luke Bailey and Alessia Trulli;&nbsp;also many loved neices and nephews in Halifax and Italy.&nbsp;Maria was predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Maria DeSimone; brothers Vincenzo and Antonio, sister Concetta Colaiacovo, and son-in-law Frank Brown. The family sends appreciation and thanks to Dr. Ernest Johnson, her long-time physician and family friend.&nbsp;Visitation will be held from2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday May 11th, at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax. Funeral&nbsp;Mass will take place 1:00pm on Saturday, May 12th, at St. Theresa&rsquo;s Church, North St, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
