“Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones shines through to let us know they are with us.”
Matthew Allan Thomas Hebb (Beaver) – 22 of Halifax. Born Oct 5, 1990. Makenzie was waiting for her daddy as he departed his home here on earth on Wednesday December 12, 2012. Matthew is the beloved son of Donald (Melisa) Hebb and Kirtley (David Levering) Beaver. He is the big brother to Gregory, at home, and protector and advisor to sister Brittany (Robert Veith) and uncle to Osten. The love of Matt’s life was his fiancé Nicole Tucker whom he loved with all his heart and his greatest legacy, their son Marshall Allan. (aka Peanut) Makenzie opened her arms to welcome her daddy to heaven so he could look after her while mommy was left here to care for her big brother, Marshall. Broken-hearted grandparents, Darrel and Judi Beaver will forever miss their “handsome man” and wait for the day they can be re-united with him. After Matt finished school he became a carpenter and roofer. He was excited to be starting his own business in the roofing trade. When Matt was not on a roof he could be found with his buddy Joel Orlando hanging out with Marshall or at Briarwood Golf course with his golf and dart partner Travis Gaudet. Matt loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and his wish was to someday meet Sidney Crosby. Matt also leaves to mourn his uncle Rick (Cindy) Hebb and many extended family members. Matt was pre-deceased by paternal grandparents Donald and Eileen Hebb and uncle Robert Hebb. Memorial service to celebrate Matt’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5th at Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayer’s Rd., Halifax. Rev J.C. Denhollander officiating. Matt will be laid to rest next to his daughter Makenzie in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers donations to a trust fund for Marshall would be appreciated by the family.
A gift for such a little while,
your loss just seems so wrong,
you should not have left before us,
it’s with loved ones you belong.
