MacDonald, Michael C.-59 of Halifax passed away on March 18, 2014 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Mary (Kennedy) and Lawrence MacDonald.
Mike was a unique individual. He lived his life his own way. Always interested in events of the world, he read many philosophies in his quest for a better truth. Mike loved an open mind and was quick to engage in conversation of the intellects.
He is survived by his partner Pamela Graves; daughter Alicia MacDonald, Belleville, Ont; sister Jeannie MacDonald (Charles Clarke), Halifax; brother Ron (Tracy), Eastern Passage; and several nephews.
Mike was predeceased by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax on Saturday March 22 at 11am, Rev. James Haughn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
