<div itemprop="description">Smith, Patricia F &ndash; age 70 of Dartmouth passed away on November 6, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital. She was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Kenney) Christie. <br />Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, she grew up in Oxford, Nova Scotia. Married and started a family in Newfoundland before returning home to Nova Scotia. She attended Nova Scotia Teachers College, Memorial University and Saint Mary&rsquo;s University. Pat taught school in Newfoundland and in Halifax for 12 years and was a dedicated volunteer throughout her life. Pat loved knitting, reading, gospel music and most of all people. She was a true champion for anyone disadvantaged, she loved them all. Pat enriched the lives of every person she met. Pat loved the Lord and had unwavering faith to the end. <br />She is survived by her son; Willie (Kelly); grandchildren, Taylor Patricia, Liam and Ben; sisters, Marion Christie, Jean Collins, Donna Patterson and Bev Ann (Harvey) Martin; nieces, Laura, Connie and Marcie; nephews, Paul and Greg; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. <br />A special thank you to all the loving and dedicated staff at the Sunshine Personal Home Care Home in Dartmouth as well as great friends and roommates, Steven and Karen; all her friends at the church, her devoted medical staff and to everyone at the Northwoodside Community Centre. Thank you for all you have done, her life was better because of all of you. Thank you and God Bless. <br />A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 12 at 10am all at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. A Burial to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Wolfville Ridge. <br />In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Living Hope Community Church, 220 Melrose Ave, Halifax, B3N-2E7 or The Canadian Breast Cancer Association. <br /> <br />&ldquo;Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality&rdquo; <br /></div>
