<div itemprop="description">Patrick Charles Couper With broken hearts, we the family of Patrick Charles Couper announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 in Abby J. Lane Memorial Building, QEII, surrounded by his loving family.<br />Born and raised in Halifax, Pat was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret (O&rsquo;Grady) Couper.<br />Pat worked for Westinghouse, which then became GE and later CAMCO for 41 years, retiring in 1990. If ever anyone was in need of appliance parts, he was the &ldquo;go to&rdquo; person.<br />He was predeceased by his wife May in 1981, as well as sisters, Lillian Dockerill and <br />Joy Wick. He was the last surviving member of his family.<br /> He is survived by children, Patricia Stearns (Jerry), Colleen Kirby and Colin Couper (Jane); grandchildren, Chrissy Beach (Jeremy), Jessica Leblanc (Adam), Kara Durette, (Shawn), Jeff, Greg (aka Sandy) and Deanna Stearns, Jason, Kyle and Breanna Kirby, Jalin and Christopher Couper, great-grandchildren, Cayla, Cassy, Kendall, and Jake Beach, Abby and Jaxson Leblanc, Ella and Mason Durette, and Olivia Steele, and niece Marnie Creelman.<br /> Family was top priority and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were delights of his.<br />There will be no visitation per his request. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 26th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Rd., Halifax.<br />No flowers per his request. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.</div>
