Rev. Ronald Delwin Walker

WALKER, Rev. Ronald Delwin- 79 of Halifax, passed away on September 13th, 2014 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Picton, Ontario he was the son of the late Nobel and Grace Walker. Reverend Walker served with the Church Army in Canada from 1962-1974. He was a graduate of the Atlantic School of Theology. He served as Rector of the parishes of St. Martin’s, Western Shore; St. Alban’s, Sydney; St. Alban’s, Dartmouth; Christ Church, Stellarton, with St. Bee’s, Westville; St. Andrew’s, Timberlea, and with St. Luke’s, Lakeside. He enjoyed the study and teaching of Holy Scripture. Travelling with his family brought him great pleasure and he treasured time spent with his grandsons, Nathan and Nicholas who brought great joy to his life. Ronald was predeceased by his wife Geraldine (Kettle) Walker. He is survived by his son Dennis (Susan), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; daughter, Heather Walker and grandsons Nathan and Nicholas, Halifax. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. The funeral service will be held in the All Saints Cathedral, 1330 Martello St, Halifax on Thursday September 18, 2014 at 11am with a reception to follow. Private family interment to take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Society of NS.
