Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia to Mary Lois Dauphinee and Sydney Mervin Zinck. Loving husband of 52 years to Ann Myrtle &ldquo;Rusty&rdquo;. Dear father to David of Dartmouth, Peter (Tracy) of Kitchener Ontario, Janice (Glen) of Ottawa Ontario, Beth Melvin (Jim) of Dartmouth. Proud grandfather to Jordan, Noah, Matthew, Alex, Hailey, Ian, Talia, Mitchell and Amanda. Survived by his twin sister Margaret &ldquo;Peggy&rdquo; MacKay. Bob attended school at Bridgewater High School, Horton Academy,&nbsp;Acadia University and the University of British Columbia.&nbsp;Bob retired as Major in the Canadian Air Force in 1984. He was an avid golfer, tennis and badminton player. He enjoyed bridge, gardening, cooking and painting. He was a member of the Oakfield Golf and Country Club in Nova Scotia and Big Cypress Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida. Friends may call at the Atlantic Funeral Home Dartmouth Chapel, 771 Main Street on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. A private family burial will be held at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Special Olympics.
