Harnish<br>Born: November 13, 1929 Died: March 21, 2017<br>It is with profound sadness that the family of Samuel Vernon Harnish, announce his peaceful passing on March 21, 2017, at the QE2 Halifax Infirmary. Sam was born November 13, 1929 on Sober Island, Sheet Harbour Passage. Sam was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Beatrice, brothers, Will, Harold (Ren) John, sisters, Ida and Dot, son Philip, and the love of his life his wife of 56 years, Lillian.<br>He is survived by his sisters, Minnie and Amy, children, Beverley, Janice, Dale (Nancy), Barry (Stephenie), Rob (Uma), Grandchildren, Jennifer, True, Amanda (Dale), Aaron, Timothy, Gregory, Nicholas (Courtney), Jackie, Phillip (Heather), Graham (Wanda), Sasha (Kwesi), Dylan & Seth. Great-grandchildren, Alexander, Mackynzee, Jaden, Spencer, Kimaya & Natalie.<br>He worked for GE/Camco for over 20 years before retiring.<br>He was a jack of all trades and a master of all. Some of his many passions, interests and hobbies included: playing guitar, singing and listening to old country and western music, RC model aircraft, bowling, and the Toronto Blue Jays.<br>Above all he loved spending time with his family. Whether it was camping, going for drives, going to the beach to swim, ice skating with the kids or going to a family bon fire or BBQ. He enjoyed travelling, and was able to take a Caribbean cruise in 2008.<br>The family wishes to thank the Nurses at the QE2 Halifax Infirmary on 4.2 for the care of Sam in his final days. <br>They would also like to thank his many friends and Neighbours who helped Sam & Lillian over the years, no amount of thanks or words can express the appreciation the family has for them.<br>Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sam's life will take place in the All Saints Anglican Church, 1408 Bedford Hwy, Bedford NS, on April 1, 2017 at 11:00 am, reception to follow in the church hall.<br>In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society or Muscular Dystrophy Canada.</div>
