<div itemprop="description"> <strong> &#8203; </strong> <p> <strong> Wayne &quot;Shanny&quot; Dixon, Age 66 of Halifax, NS passed away suddenly at home. Born in Africville, NS he was the son of the late David and Elsie (Peterson) Dixon. Shanny was born and raised in Africville NS with his brothers and sister.&nbsp; He moved to Montreal in 1986 where he was employed by Cardboard Corp for 20 years.&nbsp; He returned to the place he called home in 2006. Shanny made a home for himself in the Gorden B. Isnor building where he was well known as a prankster.&nbsp; A legend in the community, you would recognize Shanny bouncing around town on foot or driving around town on his bike with a hat on &ndash; No helmet, he loved his hats. Shanny was a man of many words, none of which we can mention!&nbsp; He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and the community. Surviving are his common law wife, Bonnie Biron. Daughter, Sherry (Baby) Wilson-Crowe, Lawrencetown.&nbsp; Sons, Wayne Fitzpatrick, Ontario &amp; Shilo Tobin, Ontario. Grandchildren, Anthony Vincent Fraser (20), A&rsquo;dre Wayne Fraser (18), Chyna Jayde Crowe (12). Brothers Nelson Carvery (Linda) &amp; Rod Dixon (Barb) Special Uncle Jack (Stanley) Dixon (Aunt Millie), many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, special niece&rsquo;s Tammi (Doll Face) Dixon and Carmen (Niece) Gray.&nbsp; His Very Best Friend Tim Paris. Predeceased by: Brothers, Stanley, Herman and Leroy Dixon and Sister, Anne Dixon. Visitation will be held Thursday October 11th, 2-4pm &amp; 7-9pm at Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax.&nbsp; Funeral Service will be held October 12th at 2pm at Cornwallis St. Baptist Church. Rev. Maxine Gough Officiating, Assisted by Rev. Dr. Lennet Anderson. Donations can be made to Cornwallis St. Baptist Church in his honour. </strong> </p> </div>
