Una Fay Richardson
April 9, 1934 - February 23, 2015
RICHARDSON, Una Fay-age 80, of Timberlea, passed away on Monday February 23, 2015 in Melville Lodge.
Born in Spry Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Audrey and Hazen Cameron.
Una was a member of the Mother’s Union and an enthusiastic member of a women’s bridge group and a women’s bowling group. She was a daycare provider in her home for many years and an active member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Timberlea.
Una is survived by her daughters, Donna (Doug) Allen, Beth (Alain) Mongeon; grandchildren, Samantha and Josey Allen, and Joshua, Emily and Marc Mongeon; sister, Kay Parker; niece Faith Parker and her son Tyler; and nephew Hazen (Nicole) Parker.
Una was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Donald Richardson.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday February 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. The funeral service will take place on Friday February 27 at 11am, in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 2553 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Timberlea, Reverend Mark Pretty officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
