<div itemprop="description">Levy, Andrew Murray went peacefully to be with his Lord on May 26, 2016 at the age of 90. Born on Little Tancook Island on June 29, 1925, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Heisler) Levy. He founded Andrew Levy Sales and Service Ltd. in 1959 and was very proud to see the company continue for three generations as a family business, presently called Levy HVAC. As a man of strong Christian faith, Andrew was a devoted, active and long standing member of Mulgrave Park Baptist Church having served as Deacon, Trustee, usher, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, youth leader and mentor. He was also an early supporter and Trustee of Bayside Baptist Youth Camp. He was a loving, faithful husband, wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather whose greatest pride was his family. For many years the beautiful cottage in Mackerel Cove was the scene of many happy family gatherings where Andrew loved to entertain and create joyous memories. He was a talented wood carver specializing in duck decoys as well as many other crafts. He also loved gardening and fishing. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Pauline (Heisler); children, Stanley (Bonnie), Bernie (Wendy), Nancy (Earl) Cross, Diane (Paul) Peach, Ray (Judy), Andrew Paul; grandchildren, Celeste, Gina, Greg (Paulette), Alissa (Scott), Ben, Erin (Darren), Nathan (Bridget), April, Matthew, Luke, Joshua (Erin), Zachary, Emily; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Reuben Joseph (Joyce); sister-in-law, Joyce; brother-in-law, Jack Mosher as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert (Betty), John; sisters, Meretha (Bruce), Frances (Jack) and Audrey. Visitation will take place 2-4, 6-8 pm Monday, May 30 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd. Funeral will be held 11 am Tuesday, May 31, at Mulgrave Park Baptist Church 5666 Sebastian Street, Halifax, where a reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will take place in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Middle SackvilleIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mulgrave Park Baptist Church or Bayside Camp.
