<div itemprop="description">Chase, Mary Elizabeth (Sheaves)-87, of Halifax, died peacefully, surrounded by those that loved her, on May 5, 2015. Born in Port aux Basques, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie Sheaves. <br /> She was a long-time member of The Salvation Army Spryfield Corps. Friday night cards with family were a long standing tradition, with chocolate, chips and apple pie. She would always tell you there was &ldquo;lots of time&rdquo; even if it was midnight. <br />She is survived by daughters Sandra (Ches) Mansfield, June (Kenny) Clarke, Donna Tibbo, all of Halifax; sons Clyde (Jane), Sheaves, Dartmouth, Barry Chase, Ontario, James Chase, Halifax; and brother John (Ada) Sheaves, Cape Breton. Her 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren will greatly miss her.<br />She was predeceased by her husband Leslie; son Leslie &ldquo;Junior&rdquo;; daughter Darlene; granddaughter Stephanie Lynn; and six siblings. <br />Visitation will be 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm today, Thursday, May 7 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayer&rsquo;s Road, Halifax. Funeral will be held at 11am on May 8 in The Salvation Army Spryfield Community Church, 328 Herring Cove Rd, officiated by Majors Kirk and Sharon MacLeod. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Spryfield Community Church.
